Teeth Whitening

Transform your smile giving you the confidence you deserve using our home-based kit.

We use White Dental Beauty, a worldwide tooth whitening brand, leading the way with high quality products.

Make an appointment with us

Before we can give you the whitening gel to apply at home, we require you to book an appointment with us to first assess your teeth. We then provide the home kit with instructions.

Whitening your teeth won’t affect existing fillings, crowns or veneers. We recommend speaking to your dentist about how you can best proceed and achieve a consistent tooth colour.

The procedure will start with a visit to the dentist for an assessment. If we believe you are suitable for the treatment, we will take impressions of your teeth to make custom whitening trays — this allows you to apply the gel at home.

Your dentist may also refer you to see our dental therapist, who will thoroughly clean your teeth prior to treatment to help lay the foundation for the best results.

Your dentist will provide instructions for you to follow. Sensitivity is minimal, if followed correctly.

Professional teeth whitening can last for many years, and with good oral care and regular hygiene visits you may not have to re-whiten. However, top-ups are available if you want to keep your smile at its brightest.

To maintain a bright, white smile, avoid foods and drinks that make your teeth susceptible to staining such as tea, coffee, red wine and curry. You should also avoid tobacco as this can cause tooth discolouration.

Wanting to whiten your smile?

Whether you’re looking to combat severe discolouration or want to achieve the perfect celebrity smile, tooth whitening is the safest and most cost effective solution.

Only dental professionals are legally allowed to carry out teeth whitening procedures.

The system we use is proven to be safe, effective and produces visible results in less than a week.

Home-based Whitening Process

Follow your dentist’s instructions on how to load the gel into your custom bleaching tray.

Always brush your teeth before using the whitening system. To insert the tray, lightly tap it to adapt the sides to your teeth.

Once the tray is in place, remove any excess gel with a clean finger or soft toothbrush. Rinse your mouth twice, but avoid swallowing.

Keep the tray in for the amount of time recommended by your dentist.

Once the treatment time is over, remove the tray and clean it thoroughly. We recommended using a soft brush and cool tap water.

temporary closure

To our Patients and Friends of Moston Dental Surgery,

Our team have been working tirelessly to keep Moston Dental Surgery a clean and safe environment for you.

As a Dental Practice, we work in an environment where the prevention of the spread of a whole range of infections is woven into everything we do. In addition to our usual scrupulous cross infection control measures, we have been paying particularly close attention to all government guidance and updates related more specifically to Coronavirus.

Given the unprecedented situation in the UK regarding the rapidly spreading COVID-19 virus, we feel we must use our own clinical judgement and act in the best interests of our patients and staff.

We feel it is essential that we do our part to reduce the spread of this virus, and so, it is with very heavy hearts, that we have taken to decision to temporarily close the practice and will only be accessible for Urgent Dental Emergencies. We will of course keep you updated with the latest information on our website www.mostondentalsurgery.co.uk.

Looking after the health of our patients is our absolute priority and so we will be operating an Emergency Telephone Consultation service for our patients who have urgent pain or swelling during this period of closure. If you urgently need assistance, please us on 0161 203 4575.

As a team, we are doing everything we possibly can to remain fit, well and able to work so that we can continue our usual high standard of dental care for you when we return.

Thank you for your support, and stay safe,

The Moston Dental Team xx
